The Trust has adopted the Government Community Health Center at
Ahore, district Jalore. Recurring & non-recurring expenditure to
the extent of at least Rs 5 lacs per year is being incurred by
the Trust.
As per the wish list of CHC doctors, during the current year
(2004-05), we have installed one A.C. and provided a hydraulic
operation table in the operation theatre. Because of frequent
power failure, we have also provided an inverter for O.T. &
Delivery room.
A geyser has also been installed in the O.T. For proper lighting
during operations, we have installed a modern overhead
illumination system in the O.T. The patient wards were full of
flies and mosquitoes. We have installed fly proof doors. The
general level of cleanliness was very poor. We have engaged a
private contractor to take care of entire sweeping and cleaning
work. The CHC has been facing acute shortage of water. We have
constructed an under ground water tank with electrical motor for
pumping up water. To relieve the over crowding in verandahs, we
have installed 35 cement benches. Similarly stools have been
provided in the wards for attendants of patients.
A washing machine has been provided for washing of bed covers
etc. Substantial number of exhaust fans has been provided in the
wards and toilets. Ten blood pressure instruments including
floor model BP instruments have been provided. Looking to child
high mortality cases, an incubator has been provided. An
autoclave instrument has also been supplied. We have taken
plantation in a big way. Our collaboration has brought about
perceptible change in the working and environment of the CHC.
Perhaps this is the first such attempt where a Trust has adopted
a CHC for full maintenance as also for furnishing with
substantial equipments.
Trust is also gradually providing an AC to the each & every CHC
of Jalore district for Operation theatres. By now ACs have been
provided in Ahore, Bhinmal, Raniwara, Sayla, Siana, Jaswantpura
& Sanchore CHCs along with Jalore General Hospital.
The Trust has constructed two residential quarters for
Doctors of the CHC, under the Golwalker scheme |
