Shri Paras Kuhad is
practicing as an advocate since 1977 and presently he is heading
one of the largest law firm, the Paras Kuhad & Associates with
40 Advocates as Junior Partners/ Associates. Paras Kuhad &
Associates has branches at Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkutta, Pune &
Jodhpur.
Shri Kuhad has established himself as one of the most
articulate, incisive and impressive lawyer in the Supreme Court
& the Rajasthan high court and his opinion is widely respected
in various realms necessitating legal expertise.
The field of practice covers a vide canvas of legal assistance
relating to corporate, service, taxation, intellectual property
rights, real estate matters and representation of large size
corporate clients, business houses including multinational
companies.
Besides an accomplished lawyer and a connoisseur, Shri Kuhad
has kept service to the societal purpose at core of his heart
that is reflected vividly from his association in educational,
charitable and religious organizations committed to the
philanthropic & social cause.
With the prime objective to encourage, aid & establish
institutions of excellence, in the field of law, medicine &
education he has started Kuhad Trust. Under the trust he has
adopted a Community Health Center at Ahore, for ensuring
hassle-free-working incurring recurring and non-recurring
expenses to te extent of Rs 5 lacs per annum. The Trust is
organizing fortnightly Panchayat samiti wise free eye camps in
the whole Jalore district round the year to make this area as
Cataract free zone.
He is also the mind behind opening a research organization, the
Center for Public Policy with focus on policy research, in depth
study of development issues and advocacy of policy alternatives
with specific concentration on lesser/ under privileged, both
the organizations are having highly distinguished members of the
society. Under the aegis of Center for Public Policy, conditions
of rickshaw pullers in Jaipur city were studied. Arising out of
the study 2 special projects were initiated namely Apna Rikshaw
Apne Naam Scheme and Ratan Rasoi. Over 200 Rickshaws have been
given to the rickshaw pullers under the first project. The Trust
along with Jain Shravika Sangh has started Ratan Rasoi, a
community kitchen, aiming to provide nutritional & wholesome
vegetarian food for barely Rs 7/-.
Besides this he is also Member, Board of governors of DISHA;
Member, Governing board Kanodiya Mahila Mahavidhayala; Member,
Governing body Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti; Member,
committee for reconstitution of Jawahar Kala Kendra. He is
associated with Child Relief & You “CRY”.
He is also trustee of Acharya Shree Samta Kshamta Vikas Trust
and Retina Eye Trust. He also holds the position of Past
Executive President, Indian Association of Lawyers.
